Laurence Lai and Emma Ouyang, members of NHPCA and part of New Hyde Park Memorial High School’s graduating class this year, received Valedictorian and Salutatorian respectively, ranking 1 and 2 out of 299 students in the graduating class. Congratulations to both of them for this outstanding achievement!
They are both hardworking students who, in addition to studying hard for their grades, participate in many different extracurriculars- Laurence is also a web editor for NHPCA. In addition, both Laurence and Emma were semifinalists for the NMSQT (National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test.) Only 1% qualify per year; they are part of these 16,000 students for their grade group.
